Bovine Origin Products
With
reference to the concerns about Bovine Spongiform Enephalopthy
(BSE), we wish to advise you as follows:
American
Laboratories, Inc. does not purchase, process or offer for
sale any Bovine products originating from any countries in
which bovine Spongiform Encephalophathy (BSE) is currently
known to exist.
The
U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant
Health Inspection Service is enforcing import
restrictions and is conducting surveillance for BSE to ensure
that this serious disease continues to be excluded from the
United States. One of these measures is to restrict bovine
importation. Our plant is registered with both the USDA
(#5806) and the FDA. The attached article is a copy of the
latest statement issued by the USDA on BSE. This statement verifies
that BSE is not known to exist in the USA and further explains
some of the background, history, and preventative measures
taken.
